Very happy with this site and would stay again. A beautiful view from our acsi pitch, yes a bit of a slog down and up with the sup and kayak but worth it. a bit hairy getting up and down the hill in the 6.4m van, I'm glad it wasn't me driving. Site is very clean and tidy.

Absolutely loved this site, we were pitched right on the lake albeit we were outside of ASCI dates, but worth the extra! Such a relaxing site being able to swim every day & catch the evening sunset. Toilet block clean but limited amount of stalls. Restaurants on either side of the site & across the road, supermarket 10 mins cycle down the road. We'll return here!

We chose not to use the ACSI card as the pitches were all on the upper section - but it was only a few euros extra per night for a pitch right on the lakefront which was stunning. (Not the biggest pitches but fine for our little van)
Sanitary facilities good and clean (no toilet roll though)
Stay friendly and helpful, nice bar / restaurant with decent prices
Easy walk into the beautiful town
Only real downside was the road - very close to the pitches and busy / noisy even during the night

No toilet roll or soap in washrooms. Only cold water for washing up.
Wouldn\'t give us ACSI discount as we didn\'t have the physical card, despite having full electronic details, photo and confirmation email from ASCI.
Pitches very small. Never been in such a cramped site.

Had a wonderful stay directly at the lake Orta. Unfortunately, those places are not ACSI places, but they have been worth the standard price that was not too hight for those great places.

Es war nur für eine Nacht alles OK. Ich benötigte den Platz als Unterbruch zur Weiterreise in Richtung Montenegro.Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Der Platz war wie gewünscht mit Gras bewachsen und in sehr gutem Zustand. Der Zugang zum See ist problemlos die den Tunnel erreichbar und sehr praktisch, die Strasse muss nicht überquert werden. Dies ist vor allem für Kinder sehr sinnvoll und praktisch.

The location is excellent. We chose to be on a terraced pitch, which had stunning views of the lake. Easy walking into the local town, which was beautiful. The toilet block was extremely clean, however, no toilet paper or soap was provided. I would highly recommend this campsite.

I liked this site a lot, mainly due to position on Lake Orta which is a very pretty lake. Personally I wouldn’t bother with the pitches on the terraces above the road. Lots of static units and not very appealing. Go for the lake side pitches which offer stunning lake views. Access to pitches can be a bit tight due to trees. Don’t be put off if the ground appears soft. Most of the pitches are grass covering a hard lattice which will prevent you getting stuck even if the ground appears waterlogged. The local town is a gem and walks in and around the promontory it’s located on are fabulous.
Highly recommended.

The site is split into two by the road and the reception is on the road side. The lake pitches can be very tight and close together and the roadside is tiered, some overlooking the lake.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar offer a good selection of drinks and food. It also has a small shop with a good selection of fresh and frozen foods.Fresh bread is available daily.
The town of San Giulio is about a 40min walk and well worth it - lots of beautiful buildings.
Also a very dog friendly site which for us is important.
We would definitely return to this site

A terraced campsite located on the steep hillside overlooking Lake Orta in a beautiful part of Italy.
The Lakeside pitches are bordered by a elevated road, so we chose an upper terraced pitch which provided a partial view of the lake and some shade. Despite the terraced layout, you can easily walk to the lakeside within minutes without having to cross the road due to a short tunnel within the site.
There is good access for swimming and water sports at the lakeside.
Toilet facilities were immaculate, though no toilet roll was provided (this is Italy and some toilets come with a shower head for cleansing).
However. there was no hand soap provided in the toilets which doesn’t encourage good hand hygiene, hence only 3 stars.

All staff were extremely welcoming, polite and friendly and spoke excellent English. Campsite shop has a small selection of essentials. Didn’t eat or drink at the bar/restaurant but did order a gluten free lasagne takeaway which was fantastic for a coeliac travelling in Italy!

Can’t comment of child friendliness as we were travelling without kids. A lovely site, would
recommend.
